These patterns are inspired by the traditional Turkish art of marbled paper, Ebru. The word comes from Persian “ebri,” which means “cloudy.”
In the 17th-century Ottoman Empire, Evliyâ Çelebi is the most famous traveler. He traveled through the territories for over 40 years, noting his comments in a travel narrative called the “Book of Travels” or “Seyâhatnâme” in Turkish.
