Maxence Jourdain, a ceramic potter, has had a varied background before finding his calling. After studying art history and Japanese, he turned to woodworking, but excessive machine use distanced him from the manual and artistic aspect he sought. Inspired by his potter uncle and eager to create with his hands, he shifted to ceramics. Maxence particularly enjoys the direct contact with material and the ability to master the entire creation process, from making the pieces to producing glazes that transform and finalize each object.
