Michel and Charles are two craftsmen specialized in making gut strings for musical instruments. Michel, a professional musician and self-taught, learned traditional techniques by consulting historical documents and creates high-precision strings for ancient, baroque, Renaissance, or rare instruments, like the octobass of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, and Charles is his partner. In the workshop, they make gut strings for all string instruments in the violin family, violas, harps, etc., both standardized and custom-made.
