The story of Marie
After artistic studies and about ten years in communication and packaging, I decided to radically change my life to turn my passion, ceramics, into my profession.
I started ceramics by working alone at home and then at the Melting Pot workshop in the 20th arrondissement of Paris.
Working with my hands in the earth rather than in front of a computer quickly became obvious. I left my job in a large company in 2018 to pursue professional training at the Arts and Techniques Ceramics School in the 12th arrondissement.
Everything then happened very quickly: I obtained my CAP, created my company, signed a lease, and La Biscuiterie was born!
The La Biscuiterie workshop welcomes you, young and old, to come experience working with clay.
A small bright and comfortable cocoon, it is located on a quiet street in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, close to the Canal Saint-Martin. The space and peaceful atmosphere are conducive to creation, sharing, and transmission.
The workshop has 6 potter's wheels, 6 modeling stations, and all the necessary equipment for working with clay.
Classes and workshops are conducted in small groups, ensuring good progress and personalized guidance. The level is therefore adapted to your experience, so everyone feels comfortable!
The clay offered for all activities is a light beige stoneware. The hues of the slips and glazes used to color and finalize the pieces are made on-site and are therefore unique.
