The story of Margaux
Passionate jeweler for over 8 years, Margaux creates unique or small series jewelry from precious metals and textiles. Her universe is inspired by sewing: accessories, folds, lace patterns, light movements... She loves sober lines, discreet but unique details, and above all, the material, alive and full of surprises. Each piece of jewelry is designed to be worn, lived in, sometimes even to keep a memory, a fragment of textile, an emotion. She believes in jewelry that tells a story, those that are kept for a long time, like a memory close to the skin.
In the intimacy of her workshop, in the heart of Buttes Chaumont, Margaux shapes silver and 18-carat gold using traditional jewelry tools: saw, triboulet, torch, files,... each gesture has its role, from cutting to assembling, from hammering to the final polishing that reveals the shine.
She works the metal as a living material, which she bends, forms, textures according to her intentions. Thanks to the rolling mill, she sometimes impresses lace patterns in gold or silver, frozen like a memory. Each piece bears the mark of the hand, the gesture, and time.
The creator also offers discovery workshops to transmit the world of jewelry making: its technicality, patience, and rigor. Clients participate in the making of their jewelry (according to proposed models or custom-made), discover the gestures, and leave with a unique creation.
