The story of Sarah and Margot
A place to create, learn, and share around ceramics. Born from a shared desire to pass on a deep passion for the earth and the gestures of handmade work, the Petit Feu workshop will open its doors in January 2024, initiated by Margot Lhomme and Sarah Vasseghi.
Margot, a ceramicist for over 15 years, trained with Mr. Tozzola, whose rigor deeply nourished her practice of the wheel, and then completed her apprenticeship with Christiane Perrochon, who instilled in her a sensitivity to materials and forms. She now combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary expression. For 6 years, she has been sharing her expertise by teaching ceramics in several Parisian workshops, developing a precise and demanding pedagogy, always adapted to each individual's pace.
Sarah discovered ceramics 8 years ago, first during evening classes, before training more intensively through specialized workshops and professional encounters. She develops a personal approach that she conveys gently, paying particular attention to supportive guidance and listening to each student and their own gesture.
Together, they envision Petit Feu as a lively, warm, and accessible place for everyone, where beginners to advanced can learn or perfect their skills in modeling, wheel throwing, glazing, or simply come to experiment at their own pace. More than just a workshop, Petit Feu is a space for sharing, meeting, and creating, where one takes the time to make, discover, and reconnect with materials.
