The story of Charlotte
Charlotte Lecarpentier, founder and designer of the Tryphon brand, creates her lampshades as unique works of art.
Accepted into the ENSCI competition, École Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle, she develops her creativity there and follows the teachings of colorist Marie Rochut.
Since 2019, our studio-shop has settled at 104 rue du faubourg Saint-Denis, thus offering greater visibility to the brand.
The metal structures specially designed for TRYPHON are manufactured by a small business in Eure-et-Loir: the Carré establishments.
All the fabrics are sourced from Ile de France.
Our selected papers come in all styles from the most raw to the most precious. Kraft paper for the basic versions, vat marbled papers, vintage road maps for unique collections, or handcrafted dominoed papers from the Folio workshop.
At TRYPHON, all mechanization is banned. Each piece is handmade and therefore never exactly similar to another. The models are made individually or to order.
Marbled paper, kraft paper, cotton, silk, raffia, wool are the starting point for graphic and poetic collections.
TRYPHON was born from a desire: to make the lampshade a vector of emotions. To give a soul to a familiar object thought to be neutral and lifeless. To succeed in transcending a simple light diffuser. To transform an ordinary lamp into a precious, personal, and singular object.
All content (texts, photos, information, etc.) comes from the Tryphon website and social media. monbendo.fr holds no rights to these elements.
