Being able to say “I made this” while drinking your coffee: that’s the joy of this workshop. No experience is necessary to get started and discover the happiness of working with clay with your own hands.
First, we shape our mug using the slab technique, then we add a small solid handle, which is easier to make when you are a beginner. If time allows, we can even add a touch of color to the handle; otherwise, the team will take care of it. The finished mug measures about 8 cm high and 7.5 cm in diameter.
After drying, the workshop takes over: a first firing, glazing, and then a second firing to set the glaze. All that’s left is to come back and pick up your mug a few weeks later, ready to serve.
