Kintsugi Salad Bowl
€160.00
2023 collection of 10 pieces of artisanal ceramic tableware repaired using the Japanese technique of Kintsugi. With Urushi lacquer and gold powder, ceramic restorer Béatrice Jacotot has revived these pieces that were broken during firing.
This technique highlights the flaws and enhances the pieces by their uniqueness while offering them a second life.
Unique pieces, salad bowls for 2 people or large salad bowl for everyday use, finished with glazes, gold powder, and raw stoneware on the outside. Kintsugi is an ancient traditional technique that allows for the repair of ceramics and makes them food-safe thanks to the vegetable lacquer urushi and a gold finish. It takes a minimum of 4 weeks to repair these pieces, and our pieces are the result of an exceptional and rare collaboration.
Thanks to Béatrice Jacotot of Atelier Cérakin for this superb collaboration, entirely handcrafted, made in Paris, which allows us to value our craftsmanship.
