Cedar wood tray entirely hand-painted in a small workshop in Marrakech. Each piece takes between 8 and 9 hours of meticulous work. We were lucky to meet a passionate young craftsman who took over this workshop. He believes that craftsmanship must be transmitted and valued in order to endure. He is committed to ensuring that these skills are not undervalued, so that artisans can live with dignity. The wood chosen for making this tray is cedar wood, selected for its strength and lightness. The craftsman then works with a donkey hair calligraphy brush, ideal for precise lines and a smooth application of paint. He draws the patterns without stencils or prior sketches, with great patience, adjusting the colors by eye. This painted wooden tray is as practical as it is beautiful. It is easy to use thanks to its raised edges and handles. Ideal for serving tea and other beverages, it can also serve as decoration simply placed on a table or sideboard with a few everyday objects.
