A first gentle approach to throwing. Take a moment just for yourself, and let yourself be guided through the first gestures of throwing in a calm, bright, and inspiring ceramics studio in Paris. This 2h30 initiation is designed to offer you a sensitive and accessible experience, with no prerequisites. Whether you are curious, looking for a creative moment, or simply attracted to the material, this course is a beautiful introduction to the world of pottery. During these 2h30 of discovery, I offer you a sensitive and progressive immersion in the world of throwing: welcome time – to ask your questions and discover the atmosphere of the studio; introduction to ceramics: its history, its uses, the different clays, the stages of production; step-by-step demonstration of the essential gestures of throwing (centering, raising the clay, shaping); guided practice: everyone takes a place behind a wheel to create their first pieces; quick cleaning of the wheels once the session is over. Selection time: at the end of the session, you choose up to three pieces that I will fire and glaze for you. Each gesture is guided with care, and everyone progresses at their own pace. It’s not about performance, but the experience of doing. The astonishment of seeing the material transform under your hands. With only 4 participants, I can personally support each one, in an atmosphere that is both focused and caring.
