The giant sequoia, concentrated in a very small bottle...
It is indeed one of the tallest trees (the tallest being paradoxically the 'evergreen' sequoia and not the giant sequoia), and one of the rarest. It is also a threatened species in its natural habitat in California.
Another paradox of the sequoia is its softness. Especially considering its composition: predominantly alpha-pinene, a molecule anything but soft. And yet, standing tall like in essential oil, what you first sense is a true softness. Its strength comes afterward. For let's not be mistaken: the sequoia represents strength, power, and the link between earth and sky.
It is hardly studied in aromatherapy, but one might consider respiratory and circulatory benefits.
Its use will, however, be mainly in energy.
In principle, it echoes the gesture of conifers, thus grounding and elevation. More specifically, it is akin to cedar but with a lightness and joy less typical of cedar. This is about consolidating foundations but in a cheerful manner. Being serious without taking oneself too seriously or evolving in the world while respecting tradition.
We have selected the sequoia distilled by Florent Chauvin from Terre d'Alchimie (5ml), for its beautiful fresh and lemony notes that elevate and lighten the green and woody notes typical of this oil. It grew at an altitude of 600m in the Forez mountains, in Haute-Loire, far from any source of pollution.
