The story of Claire and Pauline
Claire and Pauline grew up on the Arcachon basin, among the workshops of an artist family: a sculptor mother, a father and a brother who are ceramists, the latter even having opened his own ceramic café.
As children, they made an observation that has never left them: those who walk through the door of a workshop come certainly to learn, but mostly to have a good time and leave proud of what they have made with their hands.
It is this experience that they wanted to make accessible to everyone with Artichaut. Inspired by New York art cafés, the place is both a real café and an open workshop: you settle in, order a coffee, choose a practice from the menu (watercolor, drawing and pastel, engraving, embroidery or mosaic) and, in two hours, you leave with your creation. No lectures or subscriptions: the two sisters move from table to table to show a gesture or unlock an idea.
Their mission? To offer a creative, relaxed, and family-friendly break, where you put down your phone to pick up a paintbrush, no matter your level.
Artichaut is located in Montmartre, at 82 rue Lamarck. You can drop by without a reservation, but booking on the site guarantees your table. In addition to the à la carte workshops, there are guided workshops with guest artists, workshops for children, birthday parties, and privatized evenings for groups, friends, and companies.
