Désirée Evening Course
€450.00
Starting evening classes in September is ideal: they span over 3 months and allow you to enjoy the end of summer flowers, then autumn flowers, and finally the first winter flowers.
Course audience
The class is limited to
7 people
, to ensure that learning is as personalized as possible and that everyone has enough workspace.
This course is accessible to
beginners who want to discover the world of floristry
but also to
people who have already started training in the floral universe
and wish to improve and/or discover alternative techniques to traditional methods (working without floral foam, current color palettes, studying shapes, volumes, and textures).
Course themes, schedule, and location
The evening classes will take place on
Thursday evenings from 6 PM to 8 PM
in our workshop-store located either:
- at
5 place d'Aligre
, in the 12th arrondissement of Paris;
- at
6 rue Brézin,
in the 14th arrondissement of Paris.
The location is to be chosen at the time of registration but will be fixed for the 6 classes.
Unless otherwise stated, they occur
every two weeks
(every other Thursday) and will be
paused during school holidays and holiday weeks
. Why? So that these classes are not too constraining in your schedules and you have time to enjoy your flowers before the next class.
Course content
Class 1 :
rustic tied bouquet
; this class will start with the learning of a fundamental technique - the spiral - through the creation of a rhythmic and moving bouquet, in rustic style. We will also discuss how we design a color palette.
Class 2 :
English-style table centerpiece
; with this type of low and elongated composition, we will learn how to create compositions "stuck without floral foam, thanks to old and eco-friendly alternatives.
Class 3 :
tied face bouquet
; more graphic and structured, this type of bouquet designed as a true decorative element will allow us to better understand lines and volumes. This class will also be an opportunity to deepen the spiral technique.
Class 4 :
face-stuck composition
; worked more in height than the table centerpiece, this composition is often arranged in reception areas. It will give us the opportunity to work on curves, crooked and atypical stems, in short, to play with the fantasies of nature.
Class 5: festive wreath:
classic or reinterpreted, the wreath is a timeless element of florist decor that can be adapted infinitely. This class will send us straight into the Christmas spirit!
Class 6 :
dried flower jewelry
; bracelet, boutonniere, crown are small pieces made with patience and precision. Learning these techniques known as flower mounting is very useful in floristry, especially for weddings. To vary the pleasures, we will only use dried flowers in this class.
During each of these sessions, we will address topics that are transversal for us: color associations, the play of textures, shapes, and volumes. We will also provide you with information on the flowers used and the guarantee that they have been carefully chosen with a concern for environmental respect. You leave with your creations and valuable tips to improve yourself when you feel like it!
Necessary materials for the course
We lend you everything necessary for the proper realization of your creation during the workshop, and you will of course leave with the fruit of your labor. At the first class, we will also give you a small notebook that you can fill in throughout your training.
We offer you the
possibility to additionally acquire a
florist's tool kit
for 120.
This includes:
a florist's secateurs
a multi-tool
a florist's knife
a kenzan (flower spike)
