Intensive Floral Art Course for Professionals
€600.00
The incredible success of our evening courses inspired us to imagine a new format: the same content condensed into 2 days immersed in flowers!
Course Audience
The class is limited to
8
people
, so that learning can be as personalized as possible and that everyone has enough workspace.
The special pro course offers an exceptional program intended for professionals (florists and producers) in which the course on floral jewelry is replaced by a course on the theory of eco-responsible floral art, taught by Mathilde Bignon and Audrey Venant, the founders of Désirée:
Choice of variety, shape, and color combinations to create coherent bouquets, and adaptation to the seasons of local flowers (course valid for building a flower assortment or for helping plan a floral farm)
Containers for eco-responsible floral art: choosing and making them.
This workshop is accessible to people wishing to improve and/or discover alternative techniques to traditional methods (working without floral foam, current color palettes, study of shapes, volumes, and textures).
Themes, schedule, and location of the courses:
The courses will take place over a full weekend for a total of 12 hours in our floral studio located at
9 rue de la Folie Méricourt, Paris 11ème
:
Exceptional session:
Friday, November 14 from 10am to 1pm and from 2pm to 5pm
Saturday, November 15 from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 4pm
Workshop Content
(the order of the sessions may evolve):
Day 1 morning part 1:
theory of eco-responsible floral art
;
Day 1 morning part 2:
country-style tied bouquet
; this course will start with learning a fundamental technique - the spiral - through the making of a rhythmic and moving bouquet, country-style. We will also discuss how we design a color palette.
Day 1 afternoon: English-style centerpiece
; with this type of low and elongated composition, we will discover how to create “staked arrangements without floral foam, using old and eco-responsible alternatives.
Day 2 morning part 1:
front-facing tied bouquet
; more graphical and structured, this type of bouquet designed as a genuine decorative element will allow us to better understand lines and volumes. This course will also provide an opportunity to deepen the spiral technique.
Day 2 morning part 2:
front-facing staked composition
; arranged higher than the centerpiece, this composition is often placed at reception venues. It will give us the chance to work on curves, quirky and atypical stems, in short, to play with the whims of nature.
Day 2 afternoon:
cloud of flowers:
a first step into the world of floral suspensions and large decorations!
We will take advantage of this intensive workshop to address subjects that are transversal for us: the association of colors, the play of textures, shapes, and volumes. We will, of course, provide information about the flowers used and the guarantee that they were carefully chosen with respect for the environment. You will leave with your creations and valuable advice for further improvement whenever your heart desires!
Materials needed for the course:
We provide you with everything necessary for the successful completion of your creation during the workshop, and you will, of course, take home the fruit of your labor. We will also give you a little notebook that you can fill in throughout the weekend.
Schedule of upcoming sessions:
Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15, 2025
more sessions to come if the course fills up quickly
