The Craft Days in Belleville: 11th edition

Since 2016, the Artisan Days have brought together artisans and publicized the alternative citizen project of the artisanal and artistic hub of Belleville, proposed as part of the mobilization for the preservation of the last metal workshop in the neighborhood.

✨ For this 11th edition

The industrial hall comes back to life and the Manufacture opens its doors!

About twenty artisans are settling in the 1200 m² of workshops in the building, in synergy with the preserved industrial hall where Atelier Stokowski, a blown glass workshop, is now located.

🚪 Open house of the workshops

• 70 artisans welcome you in their workshops
• Crafts represented: jewelers, embroiderers, ceramists, tailors, fashion designers, cabinetmakers, framers, engravers, printers, leatherworkers, metalworkers, milliners, mosaic artists, ornamental painters, photographers, feather workers, bookbinders, restorers, glassblowers, weavers, wicker workers, stained glass artists... and many more!
• 50 locations to discover within a perimeter to explore on foot

🛠️ Demonstrations of know-how

Jewelers, bootmakers, object creators, tailors, ceramists, printers, lithographers, and art restorers will offer demonstrations in their workshops. A wild weaving initiation course is also offered in Belleville Park.

💬 Round tables

"How to articulate the presence of art craftsmanship with activity in the heart of the city in a working-class neighborhood?"
On Saturday morning, the stakeholders involved in the Manufacture project will come to discuss.

🖼️ Exhibitions

• "Sublime Object" — questions the boundaries between art and craftsmanship
• "Camera Obscura and Camera Lucida" — celebrates the 200th anniversary of the invention of photography (camera obscura, wet collodion...)
• "Lights of Belleville" — luminous boxes playing with light

Alongside the exhibitions, a selection of films about traditional crafts is part of the 1st edition of the CinéBelleville festival.
